Tim Hardaway Jersey

One of the bigger NBA storylines of the summer has been the future of 9x All-Star Chris Paul, who was traded to Oklahoma City just two seasons after talk of winning Championships in HoustonThe Harden/Paul experiment failed, and CP was traded in an attempt to reset the franchise back towards contention.

Meanwhile, Chris was essentially sent to rot with a newly-rebuilding franchise while remaining on that nearly-untradeable contract. After initial possibilities shut down, it is becoming more and more likely that CP will have to play out the season with the Thunder.

But, according to Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report, there could be a potential scenario that sees the veteran point guard head to Dallas. The potential deal would involve sending Tim Hardaway Jr. and Courtney Lee to the Thunder in exchange for Paul. It gives both teams an opportunity to accomplish their goals.

For OKC, they essentially get two veteran (and much more tradeable) role-models and guys who can even help win a few games for them going forward.

As for Dallas, with Luka, Porzingis, and head coach Rick Carlisle, Chris could thrive. He’d be in a prime position to control and set up the offense, while also getting the chance to play for a playoff contender.

Last season, at 34-years-old, Paul averaged 15.6 points and 8.2 assists per game on 41% shooting.
